High School Equivalency (HSE)
We offer free classes to help you refresh your memory on topics you may need to brush up on no matter your skill level. As a grassroots organization we are committed to advancing the community. Take advantage of this opportunity while funding is available.
New York State offers a free HSE waiver for those who qualify, click below to see if you qualify for one of the pathways.
Courses in Basic Education prepare the learner to obtain their High School Equivalency. This lays the groundwork for students who desire to attend post-secondary education colleges and/or universities. Students are also groomed to go straight to professional work with corporate or other commercial entities.
Technology courses are designed to provide students with a working knowledge of computer concepts and essential skills necessary for work and communication in today's society. Students will learn safety, security, and ethical issues in computing and social networking.
Courses in ESL prepare the learner for basic and advanced communication in English. Students learn to read and write fluently in English while the professor provides heavy emphasis on listening and speaking development.
High School Equivalency (HSE)
The Brooklyn Adult Learning Center offers free classes to help you get your HSE diploma as quickly as possible. Students must be 21 years or older to take advantage of this New York City/State program.
